Cobbitty RFS has been serving the local community since 1949, when a public meeting at Cobbitty Public Hall brought around 13 residents together to form a volunteer firefighting unit for the area.

A lot has changed since those early days, from basic firefighting equipment and an air raid siren used to call volunteers, through to the modern equipment and communication systems we have today.

One thing that hasn't changed is that we're built around volunteers giving their time to protect and support the community.
